Referrals and Contact Information
The Northridge Hospital Medical Center Gamma Knife Center accepts patient referrals from any physician specialty and from patients themselves. A team of Gamma Knife specialists review referrals for treatment eligibility. The Gamma Knife Case Review Board meets each Thursday at the hospital.
Physicians wishing to refer a patient are encouraged to contact NHMC's Gamma Knife Center at (818) 885-5432.
Referring Physicians
A referring physician is an active partner in the treatment process. Treatment and all follow-ups are done in conjunction with the patient's referring physician.
The following information is requested for the screening process:
- Patient name and age
- MRI or CT scan
- Diagnosis/Current symptoms
- Brief medical history
- Treatment history overview (surgery, chemo or radiation therapy)
