Please Wash Your Hands
Hand washing is the most important thing patients, visitors and staff can do to stop the spread of infection.

The purpose of infection control practices is to provide a safer environment for everyone. Therefore, visitors with symptoms of contagious diseases or infections – including colds and flu – should not visit patient areas.

Some helpful information for our visitors:

Cafeteria
Visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria. We offer a salad bar, sandwiches, hot entrées and a made-to-order grill.

  • Breakfast 7 to10 a.m.
  • Lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Dinner 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Vending machines are located inside the cafeteria on the basement level, the main lobby and Emergency Department. They are available 24-hours-a-day.

Restrooms
Visitors may not use patient restrooms. Visitor restrooms are located at the nursing station and in the lobby of all units.

Automated Teller Machine (ATM)
An independently operated ATM is available in the Main Lobby on the first floor.

Gift and Flower Shop
A gift shop is located in the hospital’s First Floor Main Lobby. The shop has a wide variety of gifts and personal care items, candy, cards, magazines, flowers, etc. The shop hours are: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday & Sunday 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Gifts for Patients
We realize that all patients appreciate receiving gifts. Please ask your loved ones and friends to check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients to ensure that the item(s) are medically appropriate.

Parking
Although our Security Officers patrol all areas of the hospital campus, Northridge Hospital is not responsible for loss, damage, fire and/or theft to any vehicle parked in a hospital parking lot. Please do not leave personal belongings inside your vehicle in open view.

Please observe the “Handicapped Only” signs and park in designated patient/visitor locations only.

With validation, patients and visitors may park in the parking structure for a flat fee of $1.00 per day. You may also purchase a 5-day pass for $5.00, which will allow you to enter and exit the facility as often as you wish.

Parking validations can be obtained from Admitting or the Information Desk in the Main Lobby. Without validation, parking is free for the first 20 minutes, $1.00 for each half-hour up to a maximum of $5.00 per day.
