The California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Task Force (CHART) is the newest report card to rate our Quality of Care in Heart Attack and Heart Failure as Superior. We greatly appreciate the trust that you have placed in us for more than 50 years as we continue our Journey Toward Excellence.
This issue of HealthSpeak explores the hospital's designation as a STEMI Receiving Center (SRC) by the Emergency Medical Services of Los Angeles County. The Hospital was one of the first in LA County and the nation to receive a designation as an Emergency Heart Center.
In another example of excellence, the
Respiratory Care Department
recently earned a
Quality Respiratory Care Recognition
(QRCR)status. Hospitals earning a QRCR designation ensure patient safety by agreeing to adhere to a strict set of criteria governing their respiratory care services. Northridge Hospital joins only 10-percent of hospitals nation-wide that have achieved this status.
Research shows that mental health problems can be mild or severe, temporary or prolonged. The good news is that most mental illnesses can be treated. Behavorial Health Services provides inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for mental health patients.
