The New Year gives Northridge Hospital Medical Center and its staff many reasons to celebrate. Since Northridge Hospital was voted one of the Best Places to Work by the Los Angeles Business Journal, it’s no wonder that we have hundreds of long-term employees.

In fact, 362 of them recently received awards for years of commitment and continuous service. And one employee celebrated 55 years!

It is rare that an organization can demonstrate such commitment through service of their employees. We proud to recognize all of these individuals who help to make Northridge Hospital a remarkable place to work.

1,345 million...the number of poor people in developing countries who live on $1.25 a day or less, according to a 2008 World Bank estimate. Physicians, nurses and support staff at Northridge are also on a mission to help those in poverty by providing them with much-needed medical care.

16 Fun Facts about Northridge Hospital Medical Center. In the past nine years, Northridge Hospital has given more than $411 million in the form of community outreach, medical care and free clinics provided by the Northridge Family Practice Center, Family Justice Center, Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS) and the School-Based Obesity and Diabetes Initiative as well as other programs. Fact 2: We've donated about 4 tons of medical supplies around the world and nearly 40 adult beds and 10 pediatric cribs to a clinic in Guatemala. More fun facts.

Two-thirds of them are disabled. As the first facility in L.A. County to offer the  myomo, our Center for Rehabilitation Medicine is giving stroke survivors the freedom to move again. Myomo, which stands for “My Own Motion,” is the first wearable, portable robotic device to help stroke survivors relearn how to move affected arms using their own muscle signals.
