Program Curriculum

PATH-AT provides 12 weeks of after-school education (1.25 hours weekly) for 7th and 8th graders using multiple pathways to engage and empower youth in the community. Designed with the low income and predominantly Latino/ Hispanic target population in mind, PATH-AT focuses on the assets of participants, employing a youth-led program to change peer norms by building skills in a supportive environment.
Teen Pregnancy Prevention
PATH‐AT presents a combination of WAIT (Why Am I Tempted?) Training (produced and marketed by WAIT Training in Denver, Colorado) and culturally relevant, curriculum based short plays (developed by Enrichment Works) that communicate integral elements of the A‐H abstinence curriculum. The WAIT curriculum focuses on the social science of what it takes to have healthy relationships.

Physical Fitness and Nutrition
Active Me, developed by Center for Healthier Communities, promotes physical fitness and nutrition among 7th and 8th grades students. Play performances by Enrichment Works help enhance program activities.

Theater Arts
PATH‐AT commissioned, through Enrichment Works, the development of eight short age‐appropriate abstinence‐themed plays written by multi‐cultural seasoned playwrights. Professional actors with costumes, props and backdrops perform these culturally relevant plays as integral elements of the A‐H abstinence curriculum.
